Terms & Conditions HappyPet

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by HappyPet.
By booking or using our services, you agree to these terms.

1. Services

HappyPet provides in home pet care services including, but not limited to dog walking, pop in visits and in home cat care.
Our services are based on reasonable care and attention, but we cannot guarantee specific outcomes regarding animal behavior, health or temperament.

2. Pet Health, Behavior and Disclosure

You confirm that your pet:

  • Does not display aggressive or dangerous behavior toward people or other animals
  • Is free from contagious or transmissible diseases
  • Has no known medical conditions that could pose a risk during care unless disclosed in advance

Failure to disclose relevant health or behavioral issues releases HappyPet from liability for any resulting incidents.

3. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about your pet
  • Ensure your pet is legally owned and permitted at the service location
  • Maintain a safe environment for the performance of services

HappyPet may refuse or terminate services if a pet is deemed unsafe or information is found to be misleading.

4. Access and Home Security

If access to your home is required, you agree to provide accurate and working keys, access codes or instructions in advance.
You are responsible for informing HappyPet of any alarm systems, cameras, pets with special handling needs or access restrictions that may affect the service.

HappyPet handles access information with care and discretion but is not responsible for issues arising from incorrect, outdated or incomplete information provided by the client.

5. Emergencies and Veterinary Care

In case of an urgent medical situation, HappyPet will first attempt to contact you using the contact details you have provided.
If you cannot be reached and you have given consent in the intake form, you authorize HappyPet to seek veterinary care on your behalf.

HappyPet will always act in the best interest of the animal and will follow the professional judgment and medical expertise of the attending veterinarian. All veterinary and related costs remain the responsibility of the pet owner. HappyPet cannot be held responsible for medical outcomes.

6. Liability Limitations

HappyPet is not liable for:

  • Injury, illness or death of a pet unless caused by proven gross negligence
  • Damage caused by your pet to persons, property or other animals
  • Indirect, incidental or consequential damages

7. Photos and Updates

HappyPet may provide photo or video updates of your pet during services. Use of any photos or videos for marketing or promotional purposes will only occur if you have explicitly given consent in the intake form or in writing. You may withdraw this consent at any time by notifying HappyPet in writing.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

All services must be paid in full in advance. Payment is due at intake or no later than 7 days before the scheduled start date.

For bookings shorter than 7 days:

  • Cancellations up to 24 hours before the start date receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations within 24 hours of the start date are non refundable.

For bookings of 7 days or longer:

  • Cancellations up to 7 days before the start date receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations within 7 days of the start date receive a 50% refund.
  • Cancellations within 24 hours of the start date are non refundable.

Refunds will be processed using the original payment method whenever possible.

9. Force Majeure

HappyPet is not responsible for failure to perform services due to events beyond reasonable control including weather, illness, accidents, natural disasters or governmental actions.

10. Termination of Services

HappyPet reserves the right to refuse or terminate services at any time if:

  • Safety is compromised
  • Information is withheld or misrepresented
  • Payment obligations are not met

11. Data Protection and Privacy

Client data is handled according to applicable data protection laws.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Spanish law. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts in the province of Alicante.
HappyPet reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions. The latest
