Who are pop-in visits for?

Pop-in visits are designed for dog owners who need reliable, in-home care without requiring a long walk, or who are looking for more than just a walk alone. This service focuses on practical dog care at home, such as feeding, medication, potty breaks and one-to-one attention, all provided in your dog’s familiar environment by a trusted in-home dog sitter.

Pop-in visits are especially suited for owners who are away for the day, for example spending time at the beach, visiting family or working long hours. In these situations, many dogs benefit more from a complete care moment at home rather than exercise only. A short dog visit at home can include fresh water, feeding, a potty break, wellbeing checks and calm interaction, offering peace of mind while keeping your dog comfortable and settled.

For puppies, pop-in visits provide essential puppy care at home, including frequent potty breaks, feeding moments and regular check-ins that support training and routine. For senior dogs, this service offers gentle, low-impact care with attention to comfort, medication support and familiarity. Dogs that require medication or special routines benefit from consistent pop-in visits for dogs, delivered at the times they need it most, without unnecessary stress.

When a pop-in visit makes sense

A pop-in visit makes more sense than a dog walk when care comes before exercise. On busy days or when routines change, a long walk isn’t always what your dog needs. A short dog visit at home offers feeding, medication support, calm attention and reassurance in a familiar environment.

A story from one of our customers

Our senior lady Bella has always had a mind of her own. At thirteen years old she still acts like a queen, except her legs do not always agree with her confidence. Long walks are no longer an option, and her twice daily medication needs to stay consistent. Every Tuesday is our longest workday of the week, and we always felt a bit uneasy knowing she would be alone for so many hours.

HappyPet stepped in with a warmth that felt almost familiar. The recurring pop-in visits became a quiet anchor in Bella’s week. A gentle potty break, a slow wander in the sun, medication taken without any fuss and a picture of Bella looking like she owned the entire neighbourhood. It made us smile every single time.

That one moment of company in the middle of her long day makes everything easier. Bella stays settled, we stay focused at work and Tuesdays no longer feel like a scramble to rush home. It is a simple visit, but it brings a calm kind of routine that works for all of us. Knowing our dog sitter was checking on her felt exactly right, without the need for full-time pet sitting.

A little visit that makes a big difference.

Because your dog should never feel alone.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about pop-in service and the way we care for your pets.

We also serve the wider Costa Blanca South region, including Torrevieja, Los Balcones, Lago Jardín, San Miguel de Salinas, Pilar de la Horadada, Torre de la Horadada, Mil Palmeras, El Mojón, San Pedro del Pinatar ,Lo Pagán, Los Montesinos and Guardamar.

If your location is not listed here, you may still be within our service range. A small travel fee may apply for areas outside our standard radius. Feel free to ask and we’ll be happy to check.

How long is a pop-in visit?

A standard pop-in visit usually lasts around 30 minutes and focuses on essential in-home care such as feeding, potty breaks, medication and one-to-one attention.

When needed, pop-in visits can be extended or scheduled back-to-back, allowing for longer care periods or multiple hours at home. This makes pop-in visits suitable not only for short check-ins, but also for dogs that need more time, supervision or extended care during the day. Availability and pricing for longer visits are discussed on request.

Is a pop-in visit enough for energetic dogs?

For many dogs yes, especially if they only need a quick break. For more active dogs you can combine a pop in visit with a longer walk.

Can you visit my dog if I am away for only a few hours?

Yes. Pop in visits are perfect for short absences. We let your dog out, give fresh air, offer a short walk and provide calm attention.

Can you help with senior dogs who move slowly?

Absolutely. We adjust the visit to your dog’s abilities with gentle walking or simple fresh air time if mobility is limited.

What if my dog needs medication during the day?

We safely administer oral medication, eye drops or simple treatments exactly as instructed.

How do you access my home for pop-in visits?

You can give us a key, a gate code or use a secure lockbox. Keys are coded, never labelled with your address and stored securely. If you have an alarm system, gate code or apartment access instructions, we follow them exactly as given. Many customers prefer keyless access through a lockbox, which works perfectly for holiday visitors and rentals.

Is a pop-in visit the same as having a dogsitter?

A pop-in visit is a form of in-home dog sitting focused on short, attentive care moments rather than full-time supervision. During a pop-in visit, we provide essential dog care at home such as feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, medication support and calm one-to-one attention.

Pop-in visits are ideal when your dog needs care and routine without someone staying for extended periods. When longer company is needed, pop-in visits can be extended or scheduled back-to-back to create a care plan that fits your dog’s needs.

Do you always send the same person to my dog?

Yes. Your dog is always cared for by the same familiar dog sitter. All pop-in visits are personally handled by Lotte, which helps build trust, routine and a calm, familiar bond over time. You can learn more about Lotte on our About page.

Can you help with small tasks around the house while I’m away?

Yes. If you’re travelling or out for the day, we can bring in post, water plants, adjust blinds, refresh water bowls and check windows. These small tasks are helpful for homeowners, expats and holiday renters who want peace of mind while the house is empty.
