We booked HappyPet for the days when we’re out a bit longer, like when we take the kids to Terra Mítica or spend an afternoon in Alicante. Which areas do you cover for dog walking in Costa Blanca South?

HappyPet provides dog walking services within approximately 25 km of Cabo Roig. Our service area covers all main parts of Orihuela Costa, including Cabo Roig, Lomas de Cabo Roig, La Zenia, Playa Flamenca, Villamartín, Los Dolses, Campoamor, Punta Prima and Rocío del Mar.  

We also serve the wider Costa Blanca South region, including Torrevieja, Los Balcones, Lago Jardín, San Miguel de Salinas, Pilar de la Horadada, Torre de la Horadada, Mil Palmeras, El Mojón, San Pedro del Pinatar ,Lo Pagán, Los Montesinos and Guardamar.

If your location is not listed here, you may still be within our service range. A small travel fee may apply for areas outside our standard radius. Feel free to ask and we’ll be happy to check.

Can I book a dog walk on short notice if plans change suddenly?

Often yes. If you have an unexpected appointment, a last-minute work call or a family outing that takes longer than planned, you can send us a quick WhatsApp message. When availability allows, we can arrange a same-day or emergency dog walking service so your dog still gets the movement and attention they need.

What happens during a typical walk and what can I expect afterwards?

A walk includes calm movement, sniffing time and a safe, positive routine suited to your dog’s pace. After each walk you receive a single update with a photo and a short note so you know exactly how things went. It’s simple and reliable, especially if you’re at work or away with the family.

How long are the walks and can you follow my dog’s routine?

Standard walks take around thirty, forty five or sixty minutes. We can also offer repeated visits depending on what your dog needs. We follow your routines, whether your dog prefers a slow sniff walk, a gentle loop around the neighbourhood or a more active outing. Just tell us what works for your dog.

Do you offer dog walking while I’m on holiday in Spain?

Yes. Many customers use HappyPet to keep their dog happy while they enjoy a beach day, a theme park visit or a trip to a city. You don’t need a physical meet and greet if time is tight. We can do a digital introduction the evening before your first booking.

Are you an English-speaking dog walker?

Yes. We speak English, Dutch and are very used to working with expats and international families living in Costa Blanca South. Communication is simple and always through WhatsApp or a quick call, which makes everything easy even if Spanish isn’t your strongest language.

How do you access my home and keep keys safe?

You can give us a key, a gate code or use a secure lockbox. Keys are coded, never labelled with your address and stored securely. If you have an alarm system, gate code or apartment access instructions, we follow them exactly as given. Many customers prefer keyless access through a lockbox, which works perfectly for holiday visitors and rentals.

Can my dog be walked if they are shy, nervous or not great with other dogs?

Yes. We focus on calm, individual dog walks and adjust the pace to your dog’s comfort level. If your dog is shy or prefers quiet streets, we choose peaceful routes. There is no group walking, no forced meetings and no fast pacing. It’s always your dog’s walk, not a one-size-fits-all routine.

Do you offer discounts for recurring walks or multiple dogs?

Yes. Customers who book regular walks receive a reduced rate, and homes with two or more dogs pay a lower price per dog. This works well for weekly plans or structured care while you’re at work or away often.

Can you help with small tasks around the house while I’m away?

Yes. If you’re travelling or out for the day, we can bring in post, water plants, adjust blinds, refresh water bowls and check windows. These small tasks are helpful for homeowners, expats and holiday renters who want peace of mind while the house is empty.
