A story from one of our customers

Our trip to the UK came up out of nowhere and Freddy couldn’t come with us. He’s a home loving cat and a cattery would have been the opposite of what he needed. We didn’t want to burden neighbours and there wasn’t anyone close by who knew Freddy well enough to take over.

HappyPet took over in a way that felt calm and reassuring. They stopped by every other day to care for Freddy, keep his space tidy and give him the quiet company he’s used to. They also watered our plants, opened the windows for some fresh air and cleared the mailbox which was a small but thoughtful touch.

The updates showed exactly what we hoped to see. Freddy stretched out, half asleep, clearly unbothered by the change in our schedule. It spared him a lot of stress and gave us the comfort of knowing he was truly at ease in his own environment.

Which areas do you cover for cat care service in Costa Blanca South?

HappyPet provides pop-in service within approximately 25 km of Cabo Roig. Our service area covers all main parts of Orihuela Costa, including Cabo Roig, Lomas de Cabo Roig, La Zenia, Playa Flamenca, Villamartín, Los Dolses, Campoamor, Punta Prima and Rocío del Mar.  

We also serve the wider Costa Blanca South region, including Torrevieja, Los Balcones, Lago Jardín, San Miguel de Salinas, Pilar de la Horadada, Torre de la Horadada, Mil Palmeras, El Mojón, San Pedro del Pinatar ,Lo Pagán, Los Montesinos and Guardamar.

If your location is not listed here, you may still be within our service range. A small travel fee may apply for areas outside our standard radius. Feel free to ask and we’ll be happy to check.

Is your cat care service the same as a cat sitter?

Yes. Cat sitting and our cat care service overlap, but we focus specifically on relaxed, in-home visits that keep your cat’s routine steady. We refresh the litter box, provide food, water and calm attention, and give medication if needed. Your cat stays comfortable in their own home while you are away.

How often should I book cat visits if I prefer visits every other day?

Many cats do well with visits every other day during shorter trips. We help you choose a schedule that fits your cat’s feeding routine, personality and comfort level.

Will you make sure my cat is actually seen during each visit?

Yes. You always receive a clear photo update confirming your cat has been spotted and is safe at home.

Can you take care of cats that are shy, anxious or not used to strangers?

Yes. We move calmly, let your cat set the pace and build trust over time. Even shy or nervous cats usually relax once they recognise their regular caretaker.

Do you refresh the litter box during every visit?

Yes. We clean and refresh the litter box and check for any changes that might indicate a health issue.

How do you access my home?

You can give us a key, a gate code or use a secure lockbox. Keys are coded, never labelled with your address and stored securely. If you have an alarm system, gate code or apartment access instructions, we follow them exactly as given. Many customers prefer keyless access through a lockbox, which works perfectly for holiday visitors and rentals.

Can you give my cat medication while I am abroad?

Yes. We administer oral medication or simple treatments according to your instructions and confirm each dose with an update.

Can you handle feeding routines for multiple cats?

Yes. We follow individual feeding instructions, portion sizes and diets for each cat in the home.

Do you help with extra household tasks if I am away for a long trip?

Yes. We can water plants, adjust lights or handle small home tasks that keep everything running smoothly while you are away.
